Wrap-Up || February 2015

My reading:
February was a strange reading month for me. I wasn’t really in the mood to read all that much, and most of what I read was shorter stories under 100 pages. I just wasn’t in the mood, or ready, to commit to something more than that, which is something I don’t think has happened to me before. It's something that I'm totally fine with. However, I will still consider this a good reading month, because I did read some really great things. My favorite stories I read was Take Them By Storm, Game On, and Openly Straight.

In the month of February I read 4 novels, 1 graphic novel, and a whooping 7 novellas/short stories.

Books acquired:
I didn't really acquire all that many books in February, which is good, since I told myself to stop buying so many books. And another thing I'm trying to do, is stop getting so many books from the library, and focus on reading the books that I already own. I did get four books though, that I'm really excited to get to, maybe in March. We'll see.
eBook

Library
American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang

Physical books
Playlist For the Dead by Michelle Falkoff
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

What happened:
I went out for drinks with one of my friends from high school, who I sadly don’t see that much anymore. So seeing her again was really great. I also went to a party with some of my best friends, and it was such a fun night – one of best I’ve had in a while (if you follow me on twitter, you might have me tweet about a thing that happened at that party - life was good).

I also had a three-week break from school that couldn’t have been more welcomed. I really needed that break – even though I’ve just been on Christmas break. Anyway, I'm back at school now, and I'm actually happy to be back, at least for the most parts.

Watched:
This month I went to the cinema with my younger brother to see Big Hero 6, and I must say that I absolutely loved the movie. It’s definitely a movie that I will watch again some time. Another thing is, that I've started re-watched M*A*S*H. It's something I started watching with my ex-boyfriend back when we started going out, and for some reason I've just been in a mood to watch it lately. So I kidnapped my mother's DVDs - but I'm currently still on season 1.

Listened to:
I didn’t really listen to much new this month – basically just a lot of Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj, the same as last month. However, I did listen to some old favorites. I rediscovered my love for Val Emmich, and he’s been on repeat for a few days. His voice is so amazing, and I really like his songs.

How was your month? Did you do anything specifically awesome?

  1. It looks like you had a pretty good month! I saw Big Hero 6 yesterday and it's definitely my new favorite Disney animated movie. Baymax was so great! I loved when Hero told him to show everyone the first and he just put his fist out and went "fa la la la la". It was the most adorable thing. Blankets is one that I've been meaning to read, so I'm glad to see that you enjoyed it.

  2. I'm looking forward to your review of To All the Boys I've Loved Before. I've been seeing this one EVERYWHERE so I equated that to THE WORLD MUST LOVE IT. But apparently not.

I agree with your Blankets review!!

    1. Yeah, I was convinced that I would be in love with the book as well, but it just wasn't for me. I can see why other might love it, though!
